Sakhi as the name denotes is a woman friend.....who supports and encourages women and women's collectives.... with gender perspectice in all their activities. It is a space, for women to come together, share their pains,
anxieties, pleasures and fun.
Sakhi started in 1996. We believe that all issues are women's issues Our conviction is that women and the marginalized have to become active participants to create a truely democratic, participatory and egalitarian society.
